No — StageMind is local-first by design. The app, your scripts, and your content library live on your machine, and the prompter runs offline. Cloud AI for co-scripting is optional and metered — never a requirement to hit record.
How does the AI co-scripting actually help?
It writes with you, right in the editor — drafting, tightening, and restructuring with frontier models. It can pull from your own past work and references, so it writes in your voice. Co-writing is the point of StageMind, not an upsell — and you can feel a small, honest taste of the interaction in the browser playground.
How does voice-synced scrolling work — do I need a foot pedal?

Does it work offline?
Yes — the teleprompter runs offline: record on a plane, in a studio, anywhere, no connection required. The AI co-scripting runs on cloud models, so calling on those features needs a connection; everything else stays on your machine.

What happens to text I paste into the browser demo?
Nothing you type or paste on the playground is uploaded — the demo runs entirely in your browser tab, with no network path at all. Its rewrites are canned samples and a fixed trim pass, not the product's AI. Close the tab and your text is gone.
